日本で暮らす羊の毛はほぼ破棄されています。その羊毛を活用するためには洗う(洗毛)という工程が必要ですが、日本の洗毛工場は廃液汚染の観点から廃止されました。2023年にクラウドファンディングを利用し自宅に染毛シンクを設置し年間120キロほどの日本羊の羊毛を手洗いしています。そして愛知県の紡績工場で糸にしたものが羊ノ糸です。国産ウール100％の羊ノ糸を和歌山県のニット工場のホールガーメント編み機で製品にしています(バラクラバとアームウォーマー)。和歌山県熊野地域の里山で羊との暮らしを大切にしながら環境に配慮したものづくりをしています。羊飼い、毛刈り、洗毛、手紡ぎ、手編み、手織り、草木染という手仕事の知恵をスローファッションへ繋げていく
