江戸初期（延宝8年）より、初代河村用達（平兵衛）は、屋号を「鍵屋」と称して、日本海の海運事業を通し多くの品々を取り次ぐ北前船の廻船問屋を営んでおりました。戦後は酒小売業に転業、更には昭和37年から現在に至るまでは食品小売業として、今も尚、「食」に纏わる事業に携わっております。この歴史ある美しいふるさと「若狭小浜」をもっと多くの方に知っていただき、味わっていただくことこそが、今の時代を生きる我々の使命であると受け止めております。
